Who We Are
Welcome from the Pastor.
My name is Pastor Gordon Finlay and on behalf of our church family I want to thank you for checking out our website.
We are a small congregation but have a big heart for God and for people in our community. From Sunday morning service, Women's Bible Study, Men's Fellowship, and Weekly Youth Group to summer Vacation Bible School, community events and Fresh Start Thrift Shop for "gently used items", there are many ways for YOU to get involved! Come as you are! We welcome those that are seeking to experience a loving community and learn more about what a relationship with Jesus looks like.
We welcome you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00am, to experience an informal Worship Service, or one of our many community-focused events. I hope to see you soon!

A part of the community.
Part of the mission of Omemee Baptist is to share the gospel with our local community. We often join the events happening in our local community. Perhaps you have seen us in the park on Canada Day at our tattoo and games booth or at the Christmas Tree Lighting? Our church is also a hub in the town used as a meeting place for organizations, such as the Girl Guides of Canada, and for the Omemee Food Bank.
It is our desire to further use our church building that God has given us for our community. We also have a presence in the community through our ministry called Fresh Start, a non-profit thrift store that sells: clothing, toys, small household needs/utensils and general knick-knacks.
We want to continue to meet some of the practical, social, and spiritual needs of our community.
Our Mission
The purpose of this church is for the communication of the love of God to each believer, our community, country and to the uttermost parts of the world.
"9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 13 And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.14 Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. 16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them." 1 John 4:9-16 NLT
